Bad Day!

1.  Had morning duty in the auditorium with 400 7th graders.

2. Had to proctor a test.  2 1/2 hours staring into space.

3. Gave blood for the first (and perhaps last) time.  Four or five people came, gave blood, and went, in the time it took me to squeeze out a pint.  When I finally got up, my co-workers cheered.

4.  Had a meeting after school that lasted 2 hours.

5. Had to stop at the stupid grocery store.

On the other hand, Sharyn November is going to send me some books!

would have helped. And don't drink too much coffee, they said caffeine can dehydrate you. Of course, by that time I found all that out it was much too late.

*takes note* I've been hearing some awful stories from friends who have already given blood, and enjoy displaying their scars proudly, about needing to have the needle stuck several times in one arm, and then in the other because they couldn't find an artery. Eugh.

I've never heard that word before, but I'm so going to call myself that now. It's perfect. I had this vision of a Dementor kind of person in a robe, ready to suck your soul out if you cheat. :)

That describes most of them almost perfectly. :) No, they're usually quite lovely, especially the people who've been drafted in as extras because there aren't enough teachers to go around. I'm not sure you should call yourself an invigilator - I'm having a hard time imagining you as a Dememtor like figure.

Seconding recommendation for food and water! Giving blood is actually one of my few talents, and perhaps is due to my eating food and drinking water all day :)
