The Bone Doll's Twin

Lynn Flewelling is brilliant.

The Bone Doll's Twin has me entranced. I cannot wait to find out what happens next. If you haven't read any of Lynn's books, read Luck in the Shadows first.   It is the first in the Nightrunner series.  This is another series, and it is fabulous so far.  Then check out Lynn's LJ here.  I feel a little bit as if I know her--she has a photo of the desk she sits at when she writes, for God's sake.

The checkers casa is spotless and ready for Thanksgiving company.  Happy!

Today's wine = Genesis Washington Merlot.  Very good.

Yeah for a spotless casa, and yeah for good wine! I am in a Riesling phase and very happy to be there *goes for a glass of wine*

Is your mom recovered from her surgery this past summer, and will your family be visiting? We're gathering at my brother's house - all my sibs and about half the nieces/nephews. It should be fun. I bring the pies and let the others worry about everything else.

Speaking of books, I have FINALLY finished KoA and can move on to others (noticed Three Wishes is out in PB at Borders, and a single copy of QoA in teh store - no King, no Thief. Sigh.) I think I will read Howl next, then the Ophelia book I was asking about earlier. Or maybe the other way around.

I like Riesling. My mom is doing very well, thanks. That's nice of you to remember. My sister is having most everyone to her house this year but I'll see them all at Christmas.

I just bought a copy of Three Wishes for $2.50 and was quite pleased with myself. I've decided to keep it instead of putting it in the library. Oh, yes, read Howl. Who wrote the Ophelia book?
