Drying Out

Seven fricking inches of rain in ten hours yesterday.

After wondering about it all day, I went and found several definitions of "necromancer". A necromancer summons the spirits of the dead in order to gain knowledge from them, or raises the dead, or interrogates the dead, or practices diviniation of the dead. Depending on who you want to believe. I don't actually remember the Necromancer from Dickson's book doing any of these, but like I said, I sort of skimmed there towards the end.

The report is done! And it didn't kill me. On to ordering fiction books, yay!

Gordon Dickson's Necromancer definitely sounds like one not to read. :) I'll remember.

It feels odd to be reading about another country's getting rain whilst England weathers a heat wave. o.O I'm sure it's meant to be the other way round. :)

And yay for book ordering! :)

The fiction order is up to $1200. :)

Enjoy your heat wave!

Wow. Do you work at a very large library? That sounds like a lot of books.

I will! :)

No, it really isn't too big, but I have a very generous administrator. That's about 100 books, mostly hardback. Nonfiction will be about $2500. Our entire book collection is about 14,000 copies.

*sigh* I <3 my library. I have the best job in the world.
