I was a little skeptical as to whether they were still harvesting NC peaches--it seems a little late for that--but God knows I'm no farmer girl. And I can't resist a peach. We had some fabulous ones this year.

Snow in the mountains sounds lovely. That's where snow belongs. Did you make it to Bmore today?

Ooh, what gorgeous orange pumpkins! And truly, truly massive!
(I've only ever seen the smaller green-skinned variety. Are the orange ones normally that size??)

And the gourds look fantastic! Autumn is wonderful. I shall have to post some spring photos for contrast, though :)

The gourds are so easy to grow, too. Even *I* can grow them. Once you plant the seeds there is no stopping them. I swear, you can practically *watch* them grow. The biggest problem is you need quite a bit of space to grow them.

Green pumpkins?? Really? These aren't big for orange pumpkins, they were among the smaller ones they had cuz I was too cheap to pay for bigger ones. Some of them are HUGE.

That matches with my memory of growing pumpkins, which seem to just grow on their own and take over half a garden :) One to try out again when I have a proper veggie garden.
