1. Had morning duty in the auditorium with 400 7th graders.
2. Had to proctor a test. 2 1/2 hours staring into space.
3. Gave blood for the first (and perhaps last) time. Four or five people came, gave blood, and went, in the time it took me to squeeze out a pint. When I finally got up, my co-workers cheered.
4. Had a meeting after school that lasted 2 hours.
5. Had to stop at the stupid grocery store.
On the other hand, Sharyn November is going to send me some books!

*winces* I'm doing that soon. Take pride in knowing that you're helping someone to live. :)

Date: 2006-10-24 10:01 pm (UTC)I had an unexpected complication to a simple surgery this past summer and lost the vast majority of my blood. Six units were replaced by kind strangers who donated blood during some drive or another.
A tip of my hat, and earrings at the alter of all blood donors!
And yes, drink lots of water before donating (words of wisdom from my blood donor days, which are now over).
