I am cheating. On my hairdresser.

Tammy, I am so sorry, but I'm seeing someone else tonight. It's not going to be a long-term affair, more of a one night stand. Just one haircut, I promise. I need something different; something you can't seem to give me. Shorter in the back and longer on top.

I swear, Jaynice means nothing to me, but I have to get this out of my system. You have cut my hair for many years, and I want you to keep cutting my hair. Please forgive me.

Maybe I should take her some roses.

Thank you. I believe I would kill for a cookie right now. Tea is good, too.

Nice icon, BTW.

I wish I could sympathise but all my hairdressers tend to be short term flings. I can't seem to make a relationship last. It sounds like you and Tammy are having communication problems, but that's not worth giving up for. I hope you and Tammy manage to keep it going.

Maybe I should try roses with some of my hairdressers.

It's hard when you hair is shorter because you have to get it cut more often.

*contemplates just letting it grow*

Really, Tammy is great. Roses it is.

"It's hard when you hair is shorter because you have to get it cut more often."

That's what Mary Russell said. Or something like that.

I haven't had my hair trimmed for years. Actually cut, maybe twice in my entire life. Once of those was me with the toenail scissors. My mother was not happy.

Wow, Willow, the hairdresser I go to (it's generally the same one not because I'm faithful but because I can walk there) would be shocked. He practically faints whenever I turn up after 6-12 months not having had my hair cut. He doesn't seem to understand my method of only going when the length starts to get annoying ie: too far below my shoulders.

And Checkers, I'm not sure what to say to such moral laxness. I have observed a true and faithful hairdressing relationship between my mother and her hairdresser and it is a rare and wonderful thing that needs to be nurtured. Will you confess your betrayal when you return to Tammy? Or will you lie and say a mad friend cut your hair one day when you were having coffee?

Well, duh, I'm going to lie. :)

I'll tell her I had it cut while I was in Ohio, where I plan to go next week.

OK, that's a more believable lie than mine :)

I can't imagine that. I've nearly always had short hair. Long hair just looks really bad on me. My hair is thick and wavy, and it looks good long. Just not on me.

The thought of the toenail scissors, and your mom, made me smile.

Don't you feel the need to trim the ends, or do you do that yourself?

Psh, I'm kind of a one-night stand with hairdressers. There hasn't been one yet that could keep me happy =P

They don't really keep me happy, either, but I don't have the gumption or time to go somewhere else. I prefer to complain a lot.

I felt EXACTLY the same way when I decided to go to a hairdresser near my place instead of going to my aunts' shop to get my hair cut. I've been going there since I was a baby, and I felt horrible after that.

Plus, it was the first time in my life I had to PAY for a hair cut.

I'd never have had the nerve to do that. Bravo to you for courage! Were your aunts angry?

Ha! I cut my own. Once a year, maybe, I pay someone else to do it, out of laziness.
Apparently I'm missing a whole relationship dynamic, however.

I could do without this relationship dynamic. I go every four weeks, like clockwork. It gets old.

"It looks good long, just not on me." Oh yes. I used to have very long hair, and then I finally realized it was a CROP, not something that went with my face.
