[personal profile] emmaco!  I finally bought a passionfruit!

It's not much to look at, is it?

So, what exactly should I do with it now?

What did you think of the passionfruit? Delicious tropical goodness or seedy mess?

:D

I'm not sure--it was very tart. The taste reminded me of grapefruit, actually. I liked it, but I think I would have liked it even more on top of some white chocolate mousse.

It was expensive. $2 for the darn thing. But if I put it on mousse, it would so impress my friends.

I love tart things :)

If you need a lot of passionfruit for a recipe (and they still cost that much) perhaps you could look for tinned passionfruit pulp - I've used that before and it was good!

I'll admit I was surprised at how little actually came out of the passionfruit. :) Canned (tinned) is a good idea.
